This unit teaches students how to solve all types of stoichiometry problems. In this unit, all the questions will calculate moles from mass. In subsequent units, the stoichiometric principles learned in this unit will be applied to gases, and solutions (including acids and bases).
Gravimetric Stoichiometry Introduction
Lesson – Introduction to stoichiometry and solving problems when the limiting reagent is known.
Lesson – Determining which reactant is the limiting reagent and problem-solving.
More advanced problem-solving
Lesson – More complex problem solving such as solving for the mass of reactant required and introduction of % yield
Extra Practice – Determining the limiting reagent when the reactants are in a 1:1 ratio and when they are not.
